Problem
- Clothes take 2+ cycles to dry. Classic sign.
- Dryer top or sides hot to the touch. Heat can’t
escape.
- Burning / scorched-fabric smell during operation.
Fire warning — stop using immediately.
- Lint visible around dryer or exterior vent
cap.
- More than 6 months since last vent clean.
Lint accumulated in a dryer vent cap
outside the house — classic sign of a clog.
