About This Guide
Three repair sizes. One mudding technique.
Drywall damage comes in three sizes, each with a specific repair approach: - **Nail pop / small hole** (under 1 inch): spackle, sand, prime, paint. - **Medium hole** (1-4 inches): mesh patch + joint compound, two coats, sand, prime, paint. - **Large hole / section** (4+ inches): cut out square, screw a backer in, install drywall patch, tape seams, three coats joint compound.
The book walks: - Choosing patch method by hole size. - Material selection (spackle vs joint compound). - The three-coat mudding method and feathering. - Sanding without flooding the house with dust. - Priming and painting to hide the patch. - Texture matching (briefly, see separate guide for detail).
