The old shingles were curling and the chimney crown was shot, so I had the roofers tear everything down to the deck on both the house and the detached garage. While they were up there I had them rebuild the brick chimney from the roofline up — new crown, fresh flashing, stainless cap. Picked it off with the rest of the work so I'd never have to ladder up there again.
