After the subfloor patches dried, I poured LevelQuik self-leveling underlayment to flatten everything out, then ran bamboo planks from the kitchen through the living spaces. Tile in the bathroom on thinset over backer. The boys helped mix the thinset and screed the leveling pour — has to go fast before it sets up.
