Hiding the Water Heater

The new electric water heater landed in the middle of a walkway, so I built a freestanding shiplap enclosure around it. Gray stain to match the trim I was running upstairs, and a barn-style slider at the top of the stairs to close off the office nook. Clean look, full access for service when the heater eventually needs it.
