Half the attic kept its original plank floor — I pulled the worst boards, patched, and ran a drum sander over the rest. The other half got Lifeproof rigid-core vinyl plank over underlayment so it'd handle any humidity swings up top. With the floor down I built out the dormer bench, set the trim, and finally stepped back to look at it as a finished room.
