The basement was raw concrete, exposed joists, and a tangle of utilities. I framed and drywalled the stairwell, ran a temporary plywood handrail to keep things safe while I worked, and rolled gray floor paint over the slab. Didn't try to make it finished living space — just a clean, safe utility floor for the laundry, water heater, and furnace.

During Stairwell drywalled with a plywood handrail rigged for now while I worked the rest of the basement.
