Restoring the Stone Fireplace

The original fieldstone fireplace was solid but the mortar joints had rotted out and the mantel was beat up. I repointed the joints with fresh mortar one block at a time, refinished the wood mantel, and reset the hearth stones. Did it while the rest of the living room was getting new floors and paint so everything came together at once.
